Personal
Something about me. My name is Alessandro Vermeulen and I've been around on the net for several years. At the moment I'm a Computer Sciences bachelor at Utrecht University. Other people state that I'm a good colleague and a good friend.
In my spare time I like to play volleyball, currently at the student's volleyball club VanSlag. Here I play in the team "I pallavolisti' which is Italian for 'The volleyball players'. My specialties are setter and center where the first currently holds my preference.
Next to playing volleyball I took up racing the bicycle again. The Utrecht area has some nice routes for the short sprints between activities and longer routes for the days of.
Talents
My greatest talents are working as a team to improve existing processes and adding processes to ultimately enhance efficiency. This always-continuing search for perfection has led to healthy discussions along the way, always resulting in a better end product.
Goals
After this bachelor I'll continue with the Software Technology master, also at Utrecht University. After this I hope to engage in activities such as providing in better communication between customer and producer. Thus minimizing costs for clients while sparing the developers the trouble of rebuilding large parts of an application. I intent on doing this by working with the customer to determine in detail what they want and what they need to achieve their goals. And by shortening the development cycle thus preventing heavy impacts on the program by changing requirements.
